Montessori First uses an individualized educational approach to foster each child’s emotional, social, physical and academic growth. In our classroom, the child will be challenged at their pace to become wholly engaged learners with self-confidence, integrity and respect for themselves and others. We offer a 1:5 teacher to student ratio that allows this to be possible.

The school

Located in beautiful Hillman City just blocks from Lake Washington, school drop offs are a breeze. An ecology-friendly green space and garden will top off your child’s preschool experience. Your child will learn and grow in this tranquil safe space.

The classroom

The classroom at Montessori First is organized with genuine Montessori materials and uses handmade wooden furniture. It is a calm, uncluttered space with open areas for the children to work. Given the freedom and support to question, explore deeply, and make connections, Montessori First students will become confident, enthusiastic, self-directed learners.
